DESMA Center in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (Kemenparekraf) in the implementation of the 2nd Focus Group Discussion for the developement of National Action Plan (RAN) of Wellness Tourism 2022 – 2026.
This activity is a follow-up to the 1st FGD RAN Wellness Tourism 2022–2026 which was held on June 14, 2022 in Jakarta. This second Focus Group Discussion took place hybrid, offline and online, at Harris Vertu Hotel Harmoni, Jakarta on October 4, 2022.

The focus Group Discussion was opened by the Deputy for Tourism Products and Event Organizers, Mrs. Ir. Rizki Handayani Mustafa, MBTM. One of the concrete steps to continue to oversee the implementation of the 2022-2026 RAN Wellness Tourism is that the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy will hold 3 (three) monthly meetings to update every step that has been taken by the parties. After the opening by Mrs. Deputy, the presentation of the material was delivered by the representative of the consulting team from the DESMA Center, Mrs. Wiwik Mahdayani.
All participants from various ministries/institutions, wellness tourism and wellness industry associations, representatives of hotels, resorts and travel agents/travel operators, media and other business actors' associations were very enthusiastic about providing input, recommendations and views on the 2022-2026 RAN Wellness Tourism that had been prepared. The insights provided by participants include 5 (five) pillars of outcomes in the RAN document, namely Policy Aspects, Destinations, Industry, HR, and Promotion and Marketing.

The results of the discussion in the form of input and recommendations from relevant stakeholders who present offline and online, will be analysed and then elaborated in the 2022-2026 RAN Wellness Tourism document. It is expected that strategies categorised as quick wins action can be implemented soon.
