Focus Group Discussion on Material Test and Finalisation of Tourism Investment Project Ready to Offer (IPRO) Documents in 5 Super Priority Destinations, Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy

The Directorate of Investment Management, Deputy for Industry and Investment, Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy held a Focus Group Discussion (DKT) on Material Test and Finalisation of Tourism Investment Project Ready to Offer (IPRO) Document Material in 5 Super Priority Destinations (DSP) on 15 and 16 December 2020 at Grand Zuri Hotel in BSD City in a hybrid manner.

On that occasion, the DESMA Center team experts exposed the IPRO material of 5 (five) DSPs namely Lake Toba, Borobudur, Mandalika, Labuan Bajo and Likupang.

The Deputy for Industry and Investment, Mr Fadjar Hutomo, S.T., MMT, CFP, was present to deliver remarks, directives and open the event. The event was also attended by Mr Ibnu Edy from the World Bank Group; Directorate of Industry, Tourism and Creative Economy, Ministry of PPN/Bappenas; Directorate of Services and Area Planning, BKPM; Directorate of Regional Destination Development I and Directorate of Regional Destination Development II, Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy; and all levels of coordinators, sub-coordinators and staff within the Directorate of Investment Management.

Also present were representatives from Bonbin Studio who presented tourism investment promotion videos in 5 DSPs, as well as representatives from the Lake Toba Tourism Authority, Borobudur Tourism Authority, Labuan Bajo Tourism Authority, Mandalika SEZ Development and Management Business Entity, Likupang SEZ Development and Management Business Entity.

 

 

This Material Test and Finalisation of IPRO 5 (five) DSP Document Material activity is the final activity of the DKT series that has been carried out previously.

On Tuesday, 18 August 2020 at The Hermitage Hotel, Jakarta; the first DKT was held to discuss the preparation of IPRO 5 (five) DSP materials. The DKT was led directly by the Director of Investment Management, Deputy for Industry and Investment, Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy; Mr Ardi Hermawan. The DKT was also attended by all levels of the Directorate of Investment Management consisting of coordinators, sub-coordinators and staff.

On Tuesday, 1 September 2020 at the Luminor Hotel Jakarta; the second DKT was held which discussed the baseline update of the document preparation as well as additional input on determining the location for the IPRO 5 (five) DSP materials and the presentation of the work plan from the DESMA Center team of experts. The hearing was also chaired by the Director of Investment Management, Deputy of Industry and Investment, Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy; Mr Ardi Hermawan. The DKT was also attended by all levels of the Directorate of Investment Management consisting of coordinators, sub-coordinators and staff. Also present were representatives from the Lake Toba Tourism Authority, Borobudur Tourism Authority, Labuan Bajo Tourism Authority, Mandalika SEZ Development and Management Business Entity, Likupang SEZ Development and Management Business Entity.

Throughout October 2020, a team of experts conducted surveys for assessment, observation and direct discussions with relevant stakeholders in 5 (five) DSP locations.

On Wednesday, 11 November 2020, at the Pullman Hotel, Jakarta; there was also an exposition of the IPRO 5 (five) DSP materials that had been prepared. The hearing was also led directly by the Director of Investment Management, Deputy for Industry and Investment, Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy; Mr Ardi Hermawan; which was also attended by all levels of the Directorate of Investment Management consisting of coordinators, sub-coordinators and staff. On the occasion, representatives of the World Bank Group Mr Ibnu Edy and Mr Greg Elms also provided input. As well as representatives from the Lake Toba Tourism Authority, Borobudur Tourism Authority, Labuan Bajo Tourism Authority, Mandalika SEZ Development and Management Business Entity, Likupang SEZ Development and Management Business Entity.

Material Test and Finalisation of Tourism IPRO Document Material in 5 DSPs is the closing activity of the entire series of preparation of 5 DSP Tourism IPRO documents. After the exposure and material test, finalisation was carried out by a team of experts by elaborating on the final input from the participants present and then submitting the final document to the Directorate of Investment Management, Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy.

Rights of circulation, dissemination and ownership of the document reside with the Directorate of Investment Management, Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy.
