DESMA Center Signs Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Medan Tourism Polytechnic for Sustainable Tourism Development in North Sumatera

DESMA Center signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Medan Tourism Polytechnic (Poltekpar) at the Integrated Building, 6th Floor, Medan Tourism Polytechnic Campus on Jl. Haji Hospital, Medan on March 28, 2022. The signing was carried out by the Director of Poltekpar Medan Dr. Anwari Masatip, S.Sos, MM.Par with the Founder & Director of DESMA Center Wiwik Mahdayani. On the same occasion, the MoU was also signed between the Langkat Regency Government and the Medan Poltekpar.

 

Present in person on the occasion the Acting Regent of Langkat H Syah Afandin SH, along with the ranks including the Regional Secretary dr. H. Indra Salahudin, M.Kes, MM, Head of Langkat Bappeda Rina Wahyuni Marpaung, S.STP,. FOLDER; Inspector Amril S.Sos., M.Ap; Head of the Department of Communication and Information H. Syahmadi S.Sos., M.SP and representatives from the Department of Tourism and Culture of Langkat Regency.

 

 

The signing was opened and witnessed by the Deputy Governor of North Sumatra H. Musa Rajekshah, S.Sos., M.Hum virtually.

 

This signing is a continuation of the tourism development of Langkat Regency and supports the human resource development programme led by the Deputy Governor of North Sumatra.

 

 

The implementation of the follow-up contained in the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between DESMA Centre and Poltekpar Medan is a cooperation in the context of Tri Dharma of higher education through human resource development, research and studies, tourism marketing and information technology, especially in Langkat Regency, North Sumatra.

 

The concrete program and implementation of this collaboration is to support the Ecotourism Digitization program and Strengthening the Capacity of Ecotourism Actors in Gunung Leuser National Park, Langkat Regency, North Sumatra which is a development project of the Ministry of Environment and Forestry of the Republic of Indonesia, in collaboration with the ASEAN Center for Biodiversity (ACB). , co-financed by the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany through KfW.
