DESMA Center Attends Coordination Meeting for the International Tourism Investment Forum (ITIF) 2026 with the Ministry of Tourism

Following up on the annual International Tourism Investment Forum (ITIF), DESMA Center once again partners with the Deputy for Industry and Investment, Ministry of Tourism (MoT) for ITIF 2026. The ITIF serves as a key platform to accelerate tourism investment in Indonesia by facilitating investment negotiations and showcasing Indonesia’s tourism projects.
The 2024 ITIF focused on sustainable tourism investment guided by the principles of planet, people, and prosperity. It successfully facilitated six Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with a total investment value of IDR 862.8 billion. Building on this success, ITIF 2026 aims for greater achievements with a new theme focusing on health and wellness tourism.
The coordination meeting for ITIF 2026 was held in Jakarta on October 30, 2025. Based on previous discussions with the Ministry of Tourism team, Wiwik Mahdayani, Founder and Executive Director of DESMA Center, presented the ITIF 2026 plan and event format aligned with its objectives. The 2026 ITIF concept centers on showcasing health and wellness tourism projects to attract investment. During the meeting, Ir. Rizki Handayani Mustafa, MBTM, Deputy for Industry and Investment, highlighted that ITIF 2026 will not only focus on investment facilitation but also feature an exhibition of Indonesian wellness and health tourism products, along with a conference on investment opportunities in Indonesia’s wellness and health tourism industry.
ITIF 2026 is expected to build upon the achievements of ITIF 2024 and serve as a catalyst for boosting tourism investment in Indonesia, particularly in the health and wellness tourism sector. The growing investment is projected to position Indonesia as a world-class wellness tourism destination.
