DESMA Center Provides Sustainable Tourism Provisions at the Future Leader Summit

To prepare young leaders from all over Indonesia, Future Leader Summit providing a medium for expressing ideas from the younger generation to encourage Indonesian society to face changes and challenges. The Future Leader Summit is an annual national youth conference and has been held regularly since 2011.
As an implementation of the DESMA Center's work pillar regarding Capacity Development, and one of the work approaches is a form of support to involve youth to be more innovative and creative; DESMA Center is a collaboration partner in the 2023 Future Leader Summit (FLS) activities on 13-14 October 2023 in Semarang City, Central Java. Act as a Resource Person and Room Partner to discuss the topic of Urban and Regional Planning and Development x Social Tourism.
The resource person on the briefing agenda in the form of a talk show was Mrs. Wiwik Mahdayani, Founder & Executive Director of DESMA Center. The Partner Room was filled by Mrs. Putri Widiansyah Lestari, Tourism Program Officer, who provided assistance and validation of the written work prepared by the Future Leaders youth delegation regarding the Urban and Regional Planning and Development x Social Tourism case study through sustainable tourism.
Participants who participated in the Future Leader Summit activities were active students from various universities in Indonesia and had taken part in the selection stages to compile studies related to the selected topics.
