Synchronization Meeting with the Department of Education and Culture of the NTT Province and Bank NTT for the Sustainable Tourism Development Program in Sumba

Synchronization or synchronization is the process of coordinating or equating views regarding a matter. On Tuesday, 11 April 2023 in Kupang, DESMA Center held synchronization meeting with the Department of Education and Culture of the NTT Province and Bank NTT. DESMA Center conducted an audience with the Head of Secondary Education, Mr. Ayub Sanam, S.Pd. and NTT Bank Credit Director Paulus Stefan Messakh, S.E. The DESMA Center team was represented by Dicky Mardyan (Deputy Director & Team Leader) and Boyke Hutapea (Program Manager for Sumba).

 


 

During synchronization meeting, DESMA Center presented the work program related to Strengthening the Capacity of Tourism Human Resources (HR) in Southwest Sumba. Programs supported by MISEREOR/KZE and implemented by DESMA Center aims to realize “A tourism vocational school education program in Sumba to meet the needs and requirements of the tourism industry, thus offering better employment opportunities for young people and supporting sustainable tourism in Sumba.” This program was implemented from 1 November 2022 to 31 October 2025.

 

 

Desma Center looks forward to working with the Department of Education and Culture of the NTT Province and Bank NTT to revive a sustainable tourism sector through improving the quality of human resources and Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), developing tourist destinations in NTT, especially tourist villages as one of the leading destinations in NTT Province.
