The workshop was filled with discussions and experience sharing between business people and the school. Mr. Hugo as a representative of the travel agency and tourist guide profession, emphasized superior soft skills in the fields of communication, marketing, and sales. Therefore, it is hoped that these three skills can be adopted into each school curriculum. This aims to answer the needs of the tourism service business world in Sumba.

Ms. Vindy, as a representative of the hospitality business, highlighted the basic aspects; namely attitude, grooming, self-confidence, hospitality, and foreign language skills. These five things are soft skills that are needed in the industrial world and are not taught in classroom materials. Therefore, the school can adopt them in the form of rules.

Ms. Adisti, as a representative of the food and beverage business, emphasized loyalty, good mentality and work culture, discipline, responsibility for oneself and colleagues, learning to overcome problems and find solutions.

Other topics discussed by the school and the DUDI were the lack of student initiative to find out and learn new things, the extension of the duration of student internships of 6-12 months and productive teacher internships in DUDI both in the field of Travel and Tourism (UPW), the Hospitality sector, and the Food and Beverage sector.

The recommendations of the DUDI actors for the school include attitude, grooming, communication, marketing, and sales skills, self-confidence, hospitality, willingness to learn new things, mentality and work culture, overcoming problems and finding solutions, discipline, responsibility for oneself and colleagues, loyalty, initiative in gaining knowledge, foreign language skills, student internship period (6 months-12 months), and teacher internships in the industry.
