Partner: PT Pertamina MOR V
PT Pertamina MOR V in collaboration with DESMA Center supports the efforts to increase public awareness to the tourism industry, through series of strategic action plan. One of them is to provide educational values by empowering tourism business actors via associations of various tourism siub-sectors as a driving force. It takes a strong commitment from tourism business actors to further learn the issue of reducing carbon emissions and disseminate the knowledge to a wider network. Through this awareness activity, it is expected that it will provide solutions to the challenges faced by tourism actors in Bali in order to maintain sustainable environmental conditions achieved during the pandemic with the reopening of Bali tourism.
Standardization and policies that become the legal basis for emission reduction in Bali are included in the Bali Governor Regulation No. 45 of 2019 and Ministry of Environment and Forestry Regulation No. 20/2017. The policy product is one of the concrete steps taken by the government in an effort to reduce carbon emissions. The scope of this policy includes technical directions for the use of environmentally friendly-energy, as well as explaining the major factors that become source of emissions in the tourism industry.
